UPSC (संघ लोक सेवा आयोग)
 स्थापना :

लोकसेवा आयोग की स्थापना अक्टूबर 1926 में की गई थी। देश की आजादी के बाद अक्टूबर 1950 में इसका नाम बदलकर संघ लोक सेवा आयोग रख दिया गया।

उद्देश्य :

इसका उद्देश्य भारतीय सिविल सेवा परीक्षा का आयोजन किया जाना है जिसके माध्यम से IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, IES, ESC, CDS, NDA आदि सेवाओं में भर्ती की जाती है।

भर्ती प्रक्रिया के चरण :

UPSC इस प्रक्रिया को तीन चरणों में पूरा करती है।

1. पहले चरण में प्रारम्भिक परीक्षा 

2. दूसरे चरण में मुख्य परीक्षा

3. साक्षात्कार

पहला चरण प्रारम्भिक परीक्षा :

इसका आयोजन जून- जुलाई मास में होता है। इसमें दो पेपर होते हैं। 

1. जनरल स्टडी (GS)

2. C-SAT (Civil Services Aptitude test)

प्रारम्भिक परीक्षा मुख्य रूप से GK पर आधारित होती है।

इस परीक्षा में 100 प्रश्न पूछे जाते है, प्रत्येक प्रश्न 2 अंक का होता है। इस परीक्षा के लिए 2 घंटे का समय दिया जाता है।

इसी परीक्षा के आधार पर आपको मुख्य परीक्षा में शामिल होने की अनुमति दी जाती है।

प्रारम्भिक परीक्षा पेपर -ll

इसमें सामान्यत: जनरल रीजनिंग से संबंधित प्रश्न पूछे जाते हैं। यह परीक्षा 200 अंकों की होती है जिसमें 80 प्रश्न होते हैं। इस परीक्षा के लिए समय 2 घंटे होता है।

दोनों प्रारम्भिक परीक्षा में वस्तुनिष्ठ प्रश्न होते हैं व इसके अंक मुख्य परीक्षा में शामिल नहीं होते हैं। इसमें आपको मुख्य परीक्षा देने के लिए कम से कम 66अंक लेने होते हैं। 
इसके अलावा इन दोनों परीक्षाओं में 1/3 नेगेटिव मार्किंग का प्रावधान किया गया है। 

दूसरा चरण में मुख्य परीक्षा:

इस परीक्षा के कुल 9 पेपर होते है। जो कि वर्णनात्मक यानी लिखित होते हैं। प्रत्येक पेपर के लिए समय 3 घंटे होता है। English व Hindi को छोड़कर सभी पेपर 250-250 अंकों के होते हैं। यह परीक्षा कुल 1750 अंकों की होती है

1. संविधान की 21वीं अनुसूची में शामिल कोई भी एक भाषा आपके अनुकूल।

2. General English

3. निबंध

4, 5, 6, 7 (सामान्य अध्ययन)

पहले पेपर में भारतीय संस्कृति, इतिहास, भूगोल और समाज पर आधारित होता है।

दूसरे पेपर में संविधान, शासन व्यवस्था, सामाजिक न्याय व अंतरराष्ट्रीय संबंधों पर आधारित होता है।

तीसरा पेपर ज्ञान विज्ञान, सुरक्षा-आपदा प्रबंधन, आर्थिक विकास, व पर्यावरण से संबंधित होता है।

पेपर चार नीति शास्त्र, सत्य निष्ठा और अभिरुचि पर आधारित होता है।

8-9 पेपर आपके द्वारा चुने गए किसी भी विषय के दो पेपर होते हैं।

अन्तिम चरण साक्षात्कार का होता है

साक्षात्कार 275 अंकों का होता है। किसी भी भारतीय भाषा में आप साक्षात्कार दे सकते हैं। विज्ञापित पदों के तीन गुना उम्मीद्वारों को साक्षात्कार के लिए बुलाया जाता है। और इनमें से ही सफल उम्मीदवारों का चयन किया जाता है।

योग्यता :

इस परीक्षा के लिए स्नातक अथवा समकक्ष होना अनिवार्य योग्यता है। इसके अलावा फाइनल ईयर के छात्र भी आरम्भिक परीक्षा दे सकते हैं। लेकिन मुख्य परीक्षा से पहले उन्हें स्नातक होना आवश्यक है।

UPSC (Union Public Service Commission)

 Installation:

The Public Service Commission was established in October 1926. After the independence of the country, it was renamed as Union Public Service Commission in October 1950.

an objective :

The aim is to conduct the Indian Civil Services Examination through which recruitment is done in the services of IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS, IES, ESC, CDS, NDA etc.

Steps of recruitment process:

UPSC completes this process in three stages.

1. Preliminary Examination in Phase I

2. Phase II Main Examination

3. Interview

Phase I Preliminary Examination:

It is held in the month of June-July. It consists of two papers.

1. General Study (GS)

2. C-SAT (Civil Services Aptitude test)

The Preliminary Examination is mainly based on GK.

100 questions are asked in this exam, each question carries 2 marks. Time of 2 hours is given for this examination.

On the basis of this exam, you are allowed to appear in the main examination.

Preliminary Examination Paper -ll

Generally questions related to General Reasoning are asked in this. This exam is of 200 marks and consists of 80 questions. The time for this examination is 2 hours.

Both the preliminary examination consists of objective type questions and its marks are not included in the main examination. In this, you have to take at least 66 marks to take the main exam.

Apart from this, provision of 1/3 negative marking has been made in both these exams.

Main Examination in Phase II:

There are total 9 papers of this exam. Which are written descriptively. The time for each paper is 3 hours. All papers except English and Hindi are of 250-250 marks. This exam is of total 1750 marks.

1. Any one language included in the 21st Schedule of the Constitution suits you.

2. General English

3. Essay

4, 5, 6, 7 (General Studies)

The first paper is based on Indian culture, history, geography and society.

In the second paper, the constitution is based on governance, social justice and international relations.

The third paper deals with knowledge science, security-disaster management, economic development, and the environment.

The paper is based on four ethics, true allegiance and interest.

8-9 papers are two papers of any subject you choose.

The final stage is the interview

Interview is of 275 marks. You can interview in any Indian language. Three times candidates for advertised positions are called for interview. And from these, successful candidates are selected.

worth :

Graduation or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this exam. Apart from this, final year students can also take the preliminary examination. But they are required to graduate before the main examination.
